Southeast Asia

Southeast Asia travel blog. Information on travelling in, touring and backpacking Southeast Asia, for families with kids, solo travellers and couples. Southeast Asia travel all ways. We cover backpacking around the region, both with kids and as a young couple pre-kids. Very soon I’m be doing the same thing as a solo female over 50. But for that I may splurge on some special hotels. I hear Raffles is nice.

We’ve also stayed in some very nice resort hotels in Southeast Asia, to take vacation-style “breaks” from long-term nomadic travel.
You will find hundreds of posts about this region on our site. Maybe because it’s our favourite!

Which countries are in Southeast Asia? Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Timor-Liest and The Philippines.

Clicking on any of the links above will take you to the category page for that specific country.

Thailand is the easiest of these countries to travel, and probably the cheapest. We’d put Vietnam in second place. Singapore is expensive, and Malaysia can be somewhat costly too.
