Malacca or Melaka?

Malacca and Melaka are both commonly used spellings for this city in Malaysia, however, the Malaysian State Government decided in 2017 that the city should be known as Melaka, the Malay version rather than the English version of the name. This site pre-dates this announcement so we continue to use Malacca, or both names.
