For the last few months a small group of us has been coming together to talk blogging. Most of the other members of our group are beginners but there’s also me ( Hi, I’m Alyson, this is my main blog and family income source) and a few more seasoned bloggers and creatives. In the summer we made our group a paid, formal enterprise, I was stretching myself too thinly, repeating myself too much and not finding time for the rest of my life by helping people one on one here and there. Our little private group has been going strong and many of my trainee blogging crew have been making huge strides forward, growing readership, improving authority and creating income through the help I’ve been able to provide.
Why Do I Help New Bloggers?
Because I was once one myself. It took me around 4 years to figure out how to do this thing right and make a living from it. Knowing what I know now it’s very obvious to me that it doesn’t have to take 4 years. If you know what you’re doing from the start it’s simple to fast track your blog to financial success. I want you to be able to get it right from day one because it makes a world of difference. No going back and fixing things up later, it saves you time and suffering. I love talking about blogging and I don’t see this group as work, it’s fun for me, so I’m happy to keep the price low.
What Sort of Blogger is the Group Aimed At?
Anyone who considers themselves a beginner. If you haven’t even started yet, that’s fine, we can help you with that too. Our group would probably help at an intermediate level too, but for now I’m mostly helping beginners to super charge their new blogging career. Obviously I’m a travel blogger, so I’d be most helpful in that niche, but I also have other blogs in homeschooling and food, the same basic principles apply.
Why a Group Not a Course?
I have a strong dislike of courses with huge price tags. Too many people will throw away a large chunk of money they can’t really afford and never take what they’ve learned and put it into practice. Some will take action and find value, sure, but many won’t and I want those people to keep their money in their pockets. It’s like gym membership. How many pay for a year and then never work out after the first week? I also see no point in keeping journals and answering questions in course groups, you need to be working on your blog, that is our main focus here. So it’s not a course, it’s a group, a group with as much content as any course but without the hefty price tag. I like to play fair, I think our group model is fair to you and to me.
What’s in the Group?
For the first 2 months I added daily tips and pointers. New members can easily search for these using the group photos such as those above. Our group photos form a simple, easy to search, index of what content has gone before.
You’ll see members’ discussion and feedback for every tip, you’ll have peers to bounce ideas off and co-operate with.
I can respond to questions, in words or in screen capture video. All existing videos stay in the group. There is a directory of videos in the group files.
I’ve created pdfs on commonly asked questions and important topics such as SEO and DA, below is what’s there so far, I will be adding more every month.
I can also help “my” bloggers with contacts ( sponsors etc.), collaborative posts and guest post, I can give them a social boost, we work as a team and look out for each other’s best interests.
What I love about our group model is its flexibility, if somebody has a problem or a sticking point I can knock out a video or a pdf and it helps everyone and grows our library of useful content for future beginners. I can also look over your blogs and give you a few pointers if needed.
When I first met my blogging trainee “L” she was in a mess. After 2 years of blogging she was still on DA 1 because of a whole heap of problems and mistakes. After some 1 on 1 Skype time we got her blog moving in the right direction and she finally got herself a DA of 6. We formed the blogging group around that time and in that first month her DA jumped from 6 to 16. That’s the sort of progression that is entirely possible if you do things RIGHT! She’s really pleased with her progress and has got everything set up nicely now to start making cash.
“Alyson, through her blog World Travel Family, inspired me to pursue my dreams of travels with my children. She made me realise I can have my dreams and they don’t have to cost a fortune. She brought to my attention the seemingly impossible (on an average wage), was actually very possible and realistic. I’ve followed World Travel Family since late 2014 and early 2015. In 2017 I joined her mentor program for bloggers. Her content is brilliant, she is interactive and is happy to share all she has learned over the years. Although I am still not 100% sure if I will continue with my travel blog, I know it will be relevant in my work as an online passion business coach – I will definitely be able to use this education to help my clients who are pursuing a path of blogging. To anyone considering using World Travel Family services and mentor program, I can’t recommend it enough. You’ll be making your first blogging $$ in no time at all! Go for it and make the most of the opportunities you have in front of you. Finally, THANK YOU Alyson, thank you for your valuable time, your resources and inspiration. Without you, my life could well be very mediocre, and I can’t imagine that would be all that pleasant. I look forward to crossing paths when we set out on our journeys early 2018. ”
“There are really no words for how much this group helped me in getting a lot of incredibly useful information, support and a lot of laughter. ”
Right Now 3 months for $180
Everyone has been telling me to put the price up so I have, a little, $60 per month seems fair to you and to me.
We’re still breaking this baby in and seeing what works best, right now, you’ve got a bargain and a lot of personal attention and support. Numbers are limited, I keep the group small and friendly.
