Best Hotels in Singapore With Family
The following hotels are some of the very best hotels in Singapore. They are not on Sentosa Island, we cover that recreation hub in the next section. The resort hotels on Sentosa are generally more affordable than the premium Bay area.
These are, instead, close to Marina Bay, Boat Quay, Clarke Quay etc, downtown Singapore. Here you can easily access the Gardens by The Bay area, the historic quays of Singapore, plus great shopping and kids’ play facilities. The Garden Domes are worth a visit too.
- Book the Marina Bay Sands Hotel (the giant 5 star boat hotel pictured above at Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay) This hotel is superb, they can accommodate families, but larger family groups may need to book multiple rooms. Babysitting can be arranged but the facilities here are more adult-friendly. This is a very expensive choice!
- Raffles Hotel, another top-dollar hotel, is where to go to experience old-world service. A luxury hotel, larger families may need to book multiple rooms or suites.
- The Fullerton Hotel. This is another luxury hotel, with a fantastic location on the Singapore River. It’s more affordable than the two hotels above. We stayed here recently (2024) and had a great stay. Our review post of The Fullerton is in the related posts section at the bottom of the page. This hotel can accommodate babies and toddlers with free cots available in some rooms. They also have a $200 voucher deal for dining. Which we took full advantage of! - The Fairmont Singapore is more affordable again and has rooms with two double beds, which can suit a family of 4 with two kids. It’s part of a complex which includes shopping (Raffles City Shopping Centre) and MRT stations, with access to Singapore’s parks and green spaces. It has views of Marina Bay. - For a budget stay, you need to get out of the premium Bay area. There really isn’t much at the budget end for families in Singapore. We’ve stayed in a budget hostel as a family and it was still expensive, and incredibly cramped. Take a look at a modern family capsule hotel, these can be a lot of fun for kids and we have used these ourselves. I wouldn’t stay in one for more than a few nights. Try the CUBE Family Boutique Capsule Hotel in Chinatown. Chinatown is a great area to stay in Singapore, there’s plenty to see and great food options. It is within walking distance of The Bay area if your family are good walkers. If you need to go cheaper again, The Backpacker Cozy Corner Guesthouse, in Bugis, has quad rooms.
Singapore Sentosa Island, Best Places With Family
You need to book a hotel with family rooms or suites in Singapore, kids’ clubs are an added bonus, babysitting and kids’ activities are better again. The most kid-friendly hotels in Singapore include the following accommodation options on Sentosa Island, Singapore. This is the main resort, recreation and theme park hub of Singapore, and yes, it has beaches.
Most of these Sentosa Resorts World Hotels are within walking distance of Sentosa’s big attractions. You can get from Changi Airport to Sentosa Hotels by car in under 25 mins, traffic allowing.

Village Hotel Sentosa by Far East Hospitality has family rooms (with adequate beds) with a pool suitable for young kids and various activities for guests. Great location near Universal Studios, beaches, and the aquarium. A great family option and not too costly.
Hard Rock Hotel (Part of the Resorts World Complex on Sentosa Island) This Hard Rock Hotel has triple rooms.
Festive Resort (also Resorts World Sentosa) This hotel had family rooms with kid-pleasing bunk beds. We have stayed at this hotel but it seems to not be taking bookings currently.

Telunas Private Island Resort
Telunas Private Island Resort, actually in Indonesia, but a short boat journey from Singapore for over-water bungalows, it’s a great spot! The bungalows do accommodate families and there were plenty of activities to keep families happy. The food was great too!
