If you’re like most people, you probably have dreams of going on a cruise through the beautiful Bahamas or mystical Mediterranean coast. Then adult responsibility hits and you have so many bills that all those luxury travel dreams seem like a far-off fantasy.

All the luxury, at a lower price point. Cruising doesn’t have to be as expensive as you may think.

Sure, cruises can be expensive. But guess what, they can be cheap too!

Cheap cruises are actually how I got hooked on sea adventures to begin with.

Now I know what you’re thinking – “Cheap cruise? Doesn’t that mean cheap rooms, cheap food?”

Nope! There are a ton of luxury cruises that offer high-class affordable alternatives for those looking to cruise on a budget.

Don’t believe me? Well, keep reading to learn about 3 ways that individuals, couples and families can cruise at a lower price point.

The Celebrity Edge

At one point in time, cruises were reserved for the rich and famous, then came The Celebrity Edge which completely changed the game.

I’m not just talking about affordability or on-ship accomodations. The Celebrity Edge sets itself apart way beyond that as it’s the first cruise that was developed based on 3D virtual reality technologies.

It’s the first Edge Class ship launched by Celebrity and has such features as a ” flying carpet” a moveable centrepiece, innovative balcony design and a policy of recruiting women on board. Celebrity Edge has a 30% female crew whereas regular vessels normally have under 20%. ( source)

Destination offerings include exploring Greece and the Mediterranean or the Dominican Republic and other Caribbean ports.

Either way, you can’t go wrong!

Go Far Beyond

Getting perks are easy when you pay for them, but don’t you want to get some bonus amenities without having to find extra cash?

If that’s the case then the Sail Beyond events put on by Celebrity Cruises are for you.

Within these events, Celebrity Cruises provides customers with extra amenities without any extra cost – all you have to do is reserve a suite and you are good to go!

Perks include access to exclusive clubs, unlimited Wi-Fi and an extra stipend.

Want to know the best though? A personal butler. Yep, Celebrity Cruises provides a personal butler to anyone that reserves a suite during their Sail Beyond experiences.

Can you imagine that?  Your own personal butler.

Maybe it is time to make that vision a reality!

Quick Little Vacations

Sure, we’d all love to go on week long extended getaways. Yet sometimes that isn’t possible.

Quick little cruises are the perfect replacement for those looking for a relaxing weekend or a last-minute fiesta.

You won’t have to pay an arm and a leg for last minute bookings like you would with an airplane.

In fact, Celebrity actually offers discounts and specials for last minute bookings.

Assuming destinations are probably mediocre? Guess again!

Locations include the Bahamas and Australia. There’s also a special for New Orleans if any of you are looking to get your Mardi Gras on!

Now I know I didn’t mention every single cheap cruise special, so I want to hear from you! Am I missing anything?

Have you been on a cheap cruise and had the time of your life?

If so, leave a comment and let me know. I need all the details – destination, food, events and whatever else!

  1. I booked a balcony room to watch a meteor shower but it was foggy every night – couldn’t even see the moon let alone stars.
Had a porthole and looked out the window twice only to see the water. Only go inside now. And sometimes I find a good last minute or a repositioning.
